One month ago...

I can't believe it's already been 4 weeks since I picked up Candice and Brandon at the airport. Time really is passing by so fast. I think I will be sad when April is over because it won't be our wedding month anymore. :(

Brandon & I are going on a date tonight! Don't know where yet. I just know it's going to be fun. :)

The weekend is supposed to be gorgeous. We are going to snow shoe on Mount Hood.

Interesting info...

First of all, I've been married for 26 days... ;-)

Here are some interesting things about where I live now...

Have you ever seen the little tags on your appliances/electric cords that say "UL listed"? Guess where the UL company is? Camas, Washington! :) I pass it almost every day on the way to work.

Also, Earth Day was last Friday, April 22. Guess where Denis Hayes, the founder of Earth Day, was raised? Camas, Washington! :)

Also, several of my friends are involved with Motocross. Guess where a huge, national Motocross headquarters is? Washougal, Washington! :)

I got our wedding photo order in the mail yesterday and everything is in a frame already. Our pix look great!!! :)

We're going snow-shoeing at Mount Hood this Saturday. I've never done that before, so it will be neat. We've been having sunny days with the highs around 50. Rain comes and goes, but the sun has been shining every day. Awesome!

Good day...

I was off work today. I didn't pick up a sub job. So, I did other important things. I got my new Washington driver's license today. I also went to the bank and changed my name. I got my new social security card the other day. Now all that's left to do is get my new license plates. That's in process... waiting on Texas.

Also, today I went by Michael's craft store and got all the picture frames we need for our wedding photos that will be arriving any day now. Frames were Buy 1 Get 1 Free! Hallelujah! I got some gorgeous frames at unbelievable prices. By the way, we don't have Hobby Lobby here. It's sad! :(

I can't believe how fast time is going by. I've been married for 24 days... :)

The picture I've attached is our favorite! We ordered it in a 16x20 and we are going to hang it above the fireplace/mantle. Love it! We're so happy! :)

Happy Easter!

We had a beautiful Easter. We went to our church this morning and Brandon's parents joined us for the service. After church, everyone brought their food over to Brianna's and we had a family lunch. It was a good day. :)

3 weeks ago today...

I became Mrs. Brandon Ray. :) I love my honey. We can't believe it's already been 3 weeks!

We unloaded my stuff yesterday after school. The U-boxes arrived yesterday morning. Some high school kids helped us unload it. Also Brandon's mom and sis came over to help. We got done in 1.5 hours. That was fast! Brandon's mom went and picked up these really good, local pizzas and we ate a pizza feast. You've never seen kids so happy to have a belly full of pizza and $20 each. :) Good times!

Today, I am going to prepare the dishes/meal for Easter lunch. I'm unpacking and using my brand new wedding shower gifts! :) I'm looking forward to cooking today. I'm following some delicious recipes. Brandon's family is getting together and we are all bringing dishes.

Honeymoon Part 1

I've been working on creating an album of our honeymoon photos. Hopefully this link will work. This is just the first half of our honeymoon. I'll update the rest later.

Here is the timeline for our honeymoon:

We got married Saturday, April 2, 2011. We left the wedding and drove straight to San Antonio for our 6 pm dinner reservation at the top of the Tower of Americas, compliments of Debbie Hall. :)

Saturday night- San Antonio (SA)
Sunday night- SA
Monday night- SA
Tuesday night- Pampa/Amarillo, TX
Wednesday night- Flagstaff, Arizona

I have uploaded pictures through Thursday. We went to Sedona, AZ and The Grand Canyon on Thursday and then headed to Las Vegas. I will have to upload the rest of the honeymoon pics later.

It's Chicken Pot Pie Thursday!

Ahhh... one of the loves of Brandon's life... Chicken Pot Pie Thursday. We go to KFC every Thursday evening before his Masters degree class and get a chicken pot pie with a soda for $3.99. :) So delicious!

Brandon has his Masters class every Thursday night from 6-10 pm. I go shopping or sit at Starbucks with my computer while he's in class. This is a tradition we started in January. :) Halfway through class time, the professor gives them a 20 minute break. I usually pick him up and we go get a Coke at Wendy's. :) Ahhhh... amore'. Two 36 year olds looking forward to 20 minute Coke breaks at Wendy's.

I worked at another new elementary in the district today. I was the librarian from 8:30-12:00. It was easy and fun! :) Now I think there are only 3 schools I haven't been to yet. I will go to one of those on Monday.

Brandon came home and ate lunch with me. We live really close to the administration building and most of the schools in the district, so it's convenient. It's great!

Well, the weather has been great this week. However, today has been very sunny and very rainy. The sun will shine bright for an hour and then it pours rain. Then, the sun comes back out. It's strange. We are supposed to have sunshine tomorrow and Saturday. We are even supposed to get up to 68 degrees on Saturday. Wow! :) Then, the rain and 40's-50's will come back.

Beautiful day as Mrs. Ray...

I worked again today for the 1st time since I've been back. It was great! I had 2nd grade at a really cool elementary school. Today is the first day that the kids have called me "Mrs. Ray" instead of "Miss Frazier". It was neat! :) I enjoyed the day very much.

The weather this week has been soooo gorgeous. I love 50 degrees with sunshine. I don't think I will ever get tired of seeing the snow-capped mountains in the distance. Just beautiful! :)

I only worked until noon today. I picked up my man and we had lunch. :) I love being married to Mr. Ray!

How cute is this? Today at the elementary, one of the students said, "Mrs. Ray, when you call our names for attendance, can we tell you what our favorite ice cream flavor is?" And I said, "Yes! That's a great idea!" I hate calling roll as a sub, especially at the high school. I enjoyed this method because I got to see the kids' individual personalities, attach their faces with their names and it made everyone so happy to talk about ice cream. I think big kids at the high school will enjoy it, too. :) Subbing has been easy and enjoyable!

Another gorgeous day!

We have had sunny, gorgeous weather since Saturday. Every day has been sunny with a high of around 51 degrees. Love it! And I think it's going to stick around until Friday.

Lots of changes going on in the Ray/Abraham families... Brandon's parents have been in a major remodeling project since the Monday before our wedding. Brandon's sis & brother-in-law have been in the process of buying a new house and will be moving in the next 2 weeks. And Brandon & I have been getting rid of furniture and extra stuff, prepping the house to receive my U-boxes on Friday. Whew! The whole family is busy moving furniture and dealing with changes!

I love being married! :) I love being with Brandon all the time. I can't believe that we have been married 17 days already.

Home today...

Brandon and I got a lot accomplished this weekend. We moved furniture from our house to Brianna's, and from Brandon's parents' house to our house. Also, some acquaintances of Brandon came and picked up A LOT of furniture we didn't want. So, now our house looks better! :)

We gave our other dining room table to Brianna. We got 2 tables from Brandon's mom & dad's house. Now we have a round breakfast nook table and a smaller dining room table (which is nice for the space!).

The living room is half empty, waiting for my U-boxes to be delivered on Friday. My big sofa will fill that space nicely. ;-)

It was a busy weekend, but we accomplished a lot and we are happy in love! :)

Today, I am home doing chores and finishing announcements and thank you cards. I have to run some errands in a little while. Meanwhile, I'm sitting on the couch looking out the patio doors at "my cows". I love the 4 black cows that reside on the hill behind our house. Of course they aren't mine, but I love them and they are fun to watch. They are taking naps right now. :)

10-month Anniversary #2!

Today is our 10-month anniversary! :) Brandon and I talked for the 1st time 10 months ago today. We had a great conversation while my application faxed. Later in the day, I sent him a text that said, "I really enjoyed our conversation. I hope I didn't ask too many questions. :)" And then later that night, Brandon sent me an email... and I hadn't given him my email address. He lifted it off my resume/application! :) And so, the emailing began... and one thing led to another and now... WE'RE MARRIED!!!

10-month Anniversary #1... :) ha,ha

Today is the 10-month anniversary that Brandon called me on the phone. On June 14, 2010, Brandon called and left a voicemail on my cell phone because the fax machine didn't work. I tried to call him back at 7 pm, but he was already gone for the day.

Tomorrow is 10-month anniversary #2 when he called again and we actually talked for the very 1st time! :) He's been teasing me about all my special occasions/anniversaries that I want to celebrate. Stinker! :) I love him!

Finally home...

Well, after 11 days of honeymooning, we are back in Washington! :) We had a great trip, tons of pictures and lots of memories. We got home last night at 11 pm and it took us until midnight to get my car unloaded. Craziness! :)

Today, we slept late, went out for breakfast and ran some errands. My honey is on the couch next to me snoring... ahhh, amore'. :)

Brandon goes back to work on Friday. I will probably start subbing again on Monday. There is alot to do here... we are donating some old furniture and need to get the house ready for my U-boxes to arrive. Life is exciting and full right now! :)

The picture I have attached is from yesterday (April 12) in Coos Bay, Oregon. We ate lunch at a cool surf-shop restaurant called "Shark Bites" and then we walked on the boardwalk. We met a nice couple from Alaska who took this picture for us. We are cute in our matching sweatshirts! We bought those Monday at Hearst Castle in California. :)

P.S. I'm wearing flip-flops in freezing weather because I got my only pair of tennis shoes wet in the ocean yesterday morning because my HUSBAND didn't tell me a tidal wave was coming when I was looking for seashells! And later in the day I got my suede flip-flops soaked when we were walking to a lighthouse. Dang! :) Bad day for KR with her shoes!

Last day of our honeymoon...

I wish I had time to upload some pictures, but we are getting ready to go to breakfast and head up the coast of Oregon. We will make it home to Washougal today. It's been a beautiful, fun, romantic trip with my honey bin (we call each other "honey bin" instead of "honey bun" because once I was sending Brandon a text in which I called him "honey bun" but stupid iPhone changed it to "honey bin"). So, now it's Honey Bin! :) We are nerds...

We are in our lodge facing the Pacific Ocean in Gold Beach, Oregon. It's gorgeous!

Sometime after we are home, I will attach a link with a lot of pictures and give our timeline of events for the honeymoon. We have been honeymooning for 10 days! Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon and Washington! :)

One week ago today...

I became Mrs. Brandon Ray!!! :) We can't believe it's been a week already. We are still honeymooning. We spent last night and all day today in a deluxe suite at the Trump Tower in Las Vegas. The room and views are amazing!!! I will load all my pictures in some sort of slide show when we get back to Washington.

We are getting ready to head to Santa Barbara, so I have to hurry. I am attaching some of my favorite pics from the honeymoon. I will chronicle the trip when we get settled in Washington.

Wedding pics!!!

Brandon & I are having a wonderful honeymoon! We spent 3 days & nights in San Antonio. I love SA! The weather was GORGEOUS!!!

Today we are driving from Amarillo to Flagstaff, Arizona. We are doing Sedona & Grand Canyon tomorrow. Then we are going to spend 2 nights in Las Vegas!

Today is finally here!!!!

I am leaving to pick up Candice and Brandon in a little while! I have waited and waited for this day! This is the 21st day since I left Brandon in Washington. I didn't think I could make it 21 days without him. Hallelujah the wait is over! :)

Candice just put in an emergency request to eat lunch at Luby's. Hilarious girl... ;)

Can't wait for this day! I probably won't be able to blog again for a while. If I can, I will.

Please pray for our wedding day tomorrow and for everything to go smoothly. Pray for everyone's travels. Pray for my hubby & me as we start our married life!
